Free Benefits for your Employees?!?!

I recently reviewed my employees benefits options with my long time friend and insurance broker James Harvey of Oberlander Dorfman. During our meeting we reviewed our Aflac policy, and I came to realize that while I offer my employees Aflac insurance I do not know much about it other than the fact that I need to withhold funds from employees pay and subsequently cut a check to Aflac every month. That and of course they have a great, yet annoying marketing plan.
 
What I found is the cost of providing my employee’s with the benefits of additional insurance from Aflac costs me exactly zero dollars! In fact it reduces my employees taxable wages saving me money on FICA and FUTA! Not to mention our employees love the options available to them by Aflac and see it as a benefit offered by the company.
